Dr. Jocelyn Abrams brings the depth of world-class training together with a warm, human approach to care.
She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston and completed her predoctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Yale University School of Medicine, where she received advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and substance use. Her work at Yale emphasized evidence-based, compassionate care for individuals facing complex emotional and psychological challenges.
Dr. Abrams completed her postdoctoral residency in Clinical Psychology at the VA Medical Center in Houston, where she specialized in trauma-informed treatment, including PTSD, as well as anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns. She continues to stay closely connected to academic medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, ensuring that her clinical work remains informed by the latest research and best practices in the field.
Her education and training reflect a commitment to excellence — not just in theory, but in providing thoughtful, effective care that meets clients where they are and supports meaningful, lasting change.
